RF Microneedling Aftercare: A Simple Guide to the First Week
What is normal in the first days, what to avoid, and how to protect your results after a Secret RF session.

Good aftercare protects both your comfort and your results. RF microneedling works by kick-starting your skin’s natural renewal, so the days after your session are when that process is quietly doing its work, and a little care goes a long way.
Your therapist will always give you a detailed aftercare guide tailored to your treatment. Here is the general picture of what to expect and what to do.
The first 24 to 72 hours
It is completely normal for your skin to look flushed, similar to a mild sunburn, and to feel warm, tight, or slightly swollen for one to three days. Your skin is more sensitive during this time, so keep your routine gentle: cleanse softly, keep the skin hydrated, and avoid picking or scrubbing.
What to avoid for five to seven days
To let your skin recover well, it is best to avoid:
- Heat, intense exercise, saunas, and swimming
- Retinoids and exfoliating products
- Direct sun exposure
What to do
Simple, gentle care supports your results:
- Apply a gentle moisturiser to keep the skin comfortable
- Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day
- Keep well hydrated and let your skin rest
- Follow the personalised aftercare guide from your therapist
Getting back to normal
Most clients return to their usual routine quickly. Makeup can typically be applied after the first 24 hours to cover any residual pinkness. If anything feels beyond the normal redness and sensitivity described here, contact us, we are always happy to check in with you.
